Wilhelmsen Ships Service

Problem: The Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) product catalogue is full of essential products needed to service all aspects of shipping. However, the product managers needed a way to ensure that their current customers remained loyal by buying these products from them, rather than shopping elsewhere.

Solution: WSS hired me as a text consultant to train and coach the product managers in how to write about their products in a clear, precise and persuasive way – presenting benefits and not just features.

Results: The participants quickly learned how to focus on the customer, and present the added-value they will gain by purchasing their products. They quickly shifted their writing style from being overly technical to being clear, concise and compelling.
