Problem: When most students when they arrive at university, they are suddenly overwhelmed by having to write in an ‘academic style’. They don’t fully understand what this means, and get confused and stressed as a result.

Solution: I delivered a special one-day workshop and follow-up coaching sessions for students based on my book Just Write It! How to Develop Top-Class University Writing Skills (McGraw-Hill, 2013). It was a creative approach to academic writing designed to ensure that participants could write in a style that would serve them long after they left university – especially if they intend to enter the business world.

Results: The students who fully embraced my approach to writing found that they achieved breakthroughs in the way they approached documents. This helped to take away a lot of the stress of writing essays and other university documents.
